You may work with any number of estimates, but one estimate is always distinguished as the current estimate, and is displayed in the SystemStar Window. The Estimate List command lets you select a new estimate as your current estimate.

Each SystemStar estimate may have any number of components and subcomponents, but one is distinguished as the current component. The current component of the current estimate is always displayed in the SystemStar Window. The Component List command lets you select a new component as your current component.

You can use the commands on the View menu to hide sections of the SystemStar Window -- that's useful if you need to fit a lot of applications onto a small screen.
